Early in her career Ms. Zois primarily defended insurance companies and corporations. She has taken the experience she gained working for insurance companies and corporations and now exclusively works for injured victims. Accordingly, her practice now focuses on representing people who have been injured by sex abuse, birth injury, catastrophic injury claims, and wrongful death lawsuits against the people and corporations who have needlessly endangered the lives of others.
She has obtained numerous noteworthy verdicts, including a $10 million verdict last year for the wrongful death and survival action for a family that was a victim of medical malpractice. She has also obtained an $8 million verdict on behalf of a mother for the wrongful death and survival action in a case involving a commercial vehicle.
Ms. Zois takes each of her cases to trial as if they are a family member. She is a fearless and zealous advocate for the people she represents, with a passion for pursuing justice and fair compensation for harms and losses suffered by the devastated families she represents.
Ms. Zois is a member of the Inner Circle of Advocates, which is a national organization that is by invitation only and limits its membership to 100 of the country’s leading Trial Lawyers.
She has been inducted as a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, which is one of the most heavily vetted and highly regarded trial lawyer groups in the country which only accept the top 1% of trial lawyers from each state. Unfortunately for the citizens of Maryland, there are tort-reform laws that exist that stand in the way of families receiving fair compensation. Maryland has contributory negligence and draconian caps on non-economic damages. Ms. Zois takes her injured victims impacted by these laws to demonstrate to the legislators how the people of Maryland are unfairly impacted by these laws.
Ms. Zois is also a member American Association for Justice; the Dean’s Inner Circle for her alma mater, the University of Baltimore School of Law; She has been honored as a Super Lawyer by the Maryland SuperLawyers® Magazine consistently for the last 10 years and has been identified as one of the Top 50 Women Lawyer for the last three years and in the in the Top 100 Lawyers in Maryland for the last two years.
Ms. Zois received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in 1991. She graduated from the University of Baltimore with honors in 1995.
